It’s not too late! Robert Burkett is a world-renowned jewelry maker and has been called the Finest Bead-Maker in America. He works primarily in silver and shibuichi, an ancient Japanese process where silver is mixed with copper to produce stunning arrays of color and form. Yet, there is a strong possibility he will not be producing these collectible items much longer. His pieces are crafted by hand using the lost wax casting technique. Highly collectible and treasured, his style is uniquely his own. Sometimes imitated, but never matched!

Tiger Tiger at Qilosophy

“Qi”: The circulating life force whose existence and properties are the basis of much Chinese philosophy and medicine.

quilosophy.2  Tiger Tiger has formed an alliance with Tucson’s Stephanie Nelson of Qilosophy (pronounced chee-losophy), an acupuncture and cupping massage center.  Tiger Tiger now has a display case of merchandise in Qilosophy’s new location at 2532 E. 6th St. in Tucson, AZ. The unique and one of a kind pieces on display in Qilosophy’s beautiful space complement the fun and relaxing, physically and visually pleasing environment created by Stephanie. Both places share a common passion for the ancient traditional/medicinal practices derived from Chinese culture. Practices that benefit ones physical health and personal/mental wellness today the same as they did so many years ago.

quilosophy

Cupping is a centuries old technique which is intended to increase blood flow to promote healing and relaxation.  In a typical cupping session, glass cups are warmed using a cotton ball or other flammable substance and placed over a specific area on the body.   A vacuum is created as the heated air cools inside the glass cup, drawing up the skin. This opens up the skin’s pores, stimulates blood flow, and most importantly, balances and realigns the flow of “qi”. Cupping breaks up obstructions, and creates an avenue for toxins to be drawn out of the body.

Stephanie graduated from The Arizona School of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, and studied at The Hainan Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Haikou, China. She has been a practicing massage therapist in Tucson since 1996. Now, as a Master Massage Therapist and practitioner of Oriental Medicine she has combined the most helpful and effective treatments in acupuncture and cupping into Qilosophy.

Now at Qilosophy, with you best health and financial interests in mind, you can participate in healing activities as well as shop for unique and beautiful handmade, new and antique jewelry, singing bowls, and one of a kind Tiger Tiger items. Together Qilosophy and Tiger Tiger with their mutual passion for healing activities are bringing you services and items that will inspire you to be the best version of yourself .
