Ornaments such as this come from the villages. I have never been certain as to whether or not they are for baby carriers or hats. They are often assembled with coins and assorted Peking Glass in the largest of sizes. This one has 4 huge beads on it, the largest is 38 mm across while the smallest is only 32 mm. Wow. Three of the beads are clear with color inside while only one is the more typical opaque crumb type bead. The largest bead shows some fractures, none of the others do. These are quite rare.
