Human bone skull cap, an offering bowl. When filled with blood it is known as Ashrakapala, and called Mamsakapala when filled with flesh. In tantric rituals the deities are summoned to partake of the blood or flesh of the demon.
Human skull with a Dakini nicely carved into the back, the inside is sterling silver lined with small repousse silver stampings around the outside, There is nicely inlaid turquoise and coral set in the rim. Real turq and real coral, not glass. This is an older piece and the silver work is substantial.
