Here is a nice Minority needle case. It is in the form of a woman wearing a hat and well dressed. It may have once carried a basket. Maybe not. It is complete with the needle carrier and a nice carnelian bead at the bottom. These were from a time when steel needles were far more precious than a nicely wrought silver holder. They are a statement at how valued those needles were!
