Tiger shops the world for you. We travel to Asia as well as other places, visiting markets in the countries we travel to. Small villages are always interesting, these are places where items languish for years. Border towns are also fun places as well. We may find items that have recently crossed the border from an adjacent country. From India & Nepal, to Nagaland, Burma, Thailand, Lao and into China. Taiwan is a favorite place for us as well!
We go out to villages in search of interesting items. It is getting more difficult find good stuff, but there is always the thrill of the hunt! Over the years, we have come to learn, you never know what or where you will find something unique or of antique quality. Often the most interesting treasures are buried amidst a lot of discarded items.
Whether it is an artifact, a line of beads or folk art, we are always looking for special and unique one of a kind and rare items. We do our best to represent and describe our stock as accurately as possible, but sometimes we just don’t know enough about a given item to do so!
